Yayasan Hasanah (Hasanah) is the impact-based foundation of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), the strategic investment fund to the Government of Malaysia.

We focus on the country’s pressing community and social issues, the upscaling of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), working in collaboration through a social sector ecosystem.

As a grant giving foundation, our approach goes beyond dollars and cents. We continue to facilitate an ecosystem of transformation, working in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, infusing a spirit of advocacy and building capacity in the areas we focus in. Collectively and collaboratively, we hope to shift the needle of social and community reform for Malaysians, towards a better Malaysia.

Education is key to nation building. A high quality and efficient education system that is equitable and accessible to all contributes to our country’s progress, ensuring no one is left behind.

To facilitate an ecosystem of transformation, we work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, infusing a spirit of advocacy and building capacity in five key focus areas: Education; Community Development; Environment; Arts, Heritage and Culture; and Knowledge.

In line with our mandate to build the capacity of our partners as part of developing a network that is highly effective and collaborative within Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Yayasan Hasanah (Hasanah) supports the English movement in a bid to upskill their English proficiency. As champions of the English Movement, we believe that effective communication in English will enable our partners to communicate ideas more clearly to funders, access new resources to strengthen their programmes and increase their ability to network.
